Branding a New Support System for Families

The National Association for Single & Divorced Families (NASDF) began with the goal to provide a support system for the 15 million families with single and divorced parents. These families navigating the process of divorce or single parenthood are often in need of legal, financial, and even emotional support as they experience the challenges of these significant life changes. NASDF provides its members with resources to support these life events including a first-of-its-kind insurance, career coaching, and health and wellness benefits.

We partnered with NASDF to help them build the brand and bring it to market. Since they were a new organization, we began at the ground level by conducting research on the target audience, analyzing the competitive landscape, and interviewing the stakeholders to build a brand platform and marketing strategy from which to establish and launch the association.

What evolved was a mission-focused brand forging a new path to serve single and divorced families that is compassionate, relatable, pragmatic, and empowering. Through the messaging and visual identity (including logo, marketing collateral, photography, business suite, and website), the brand is warm and welcoming, while maintaining a position of authority, to bring to life the empowerment and resources NASDF promises its members.
