Amplifying Momentum for a Tampa Bay Women’s Community

Amplify Women Tampa Bay brings women together through events built to spark connection, share knowledge, and open doors to new resources. Founded by business leader and community advocate Nicole Waters, the organization exists to make sure every woman, wherever she stands in her journey, has the community and confidence behind her to grow. Their standout event has been their annual summit, and its first two years set the bar high, drawing attendees who left energized, carrying word of the experience back into their own networks and turning that momentum into anticipation for what would come next. By the time their 3rd Annual Summit, Navigators of Change: Women at the Helm, came into view, it had already become one of the most anticipated dates on Amplify's calendar.

‍"Working with Pyper was a lot of fun, and I don't say that lightly.  It was because of their dependable process, proven success, and overall focus on my product that allowed me to relax and trust them to represent my brand in a way I knew would successfully support our annual summit.   It was awesome working with the team, thank you ladies." -Nicole Waters, Founder of Amplify Women Tampa Bay

Amplifying Their Reach

The challenge in front of Amplify was to extend that same momentum well beyond the room and put the summit in front of a much wider audience. Word of mouth had carried the first two summits, but Amplify needed a strategy that could reach people who weren't already in their circle, and reach them early enough and often enough to convert interest into registrations. At the center of it all was Amplify's core promise: connecting women with the resources, community, and confidence to thrive. Our goals were to build awareness of that promise, drive attendance at the summit itself, and grow the community around it, more participants, a larger email database, and a bigger social following, while also creating room to bring on new sponsors and deepen the value for the ones Amplify already had.

Charting a Course from Brand Foundation to Summit Day

We started at the foundation, completing Amplify's brand infrastructure so every piece of promotion that followed had a clear, consistent voice behind it. From there, we built out a full campaign across social media, email marketing, Eventbrite event marketing, and press releases, giving the summit sustained visibility in the weeks leading up to the event. Our paid social campaign was built using strategic targeting to reach the women most likely to see themselves in Amplify's mission, achieving a 7.5% click through rate.

We also developed the event materials and signage used on-site, carrying the same brand presence from the promotional campaign into the room itself. Throughout, the strategy focused on building Amplify's name recognition, fine-tuning sponsorship opportunities to grow revenue, and keeping members, sponsors, and community partners consistently in the spotlight.

Our public relations efforts carried the summit across digital, radio, and television in the week leading up to the event, with coverage in I Love the Burg, St. Pete Catalyst, and Tampa Bay Beacons, a spot on WFLA News Radio, and a segment on WFLA's Daytime, putting Nicole and the summit at the center of the local conversation around women's leadership.

Finding Momentum and Growing the Community

The first day of the summit sold out, and at the event, many attendees said they'd first discovered it on social media, a clear signal that the campaign was reaching people beyond Amplify's existing network. Over the course of our work with Amplify, their social media audience grew 100% year over year, and summit-related email campaigns reached a high of an 86.3% open rate and a 19.3% CTR. We saw their Facebook impressions increase 1205%, Instagram impressions increase 296%, and LinkedIn impressions increase 78% in July. All of that attention showed up online, too, with traffic to Amplify's website up 385% month over month in July.

Our work gave Amplify a presence around the summit that matched the caliber of the event itself, turning a strategy built to extend their reach into a foundation they can keep building on. That growth puts Amplify's mission into practice at a larger scale, with more women finding their way into a community built to give them the tools, resources, and confidence to thrive.
